Where church and community meet
We like to think we are – an open, caring, welcoming Church
We would like to think – you will discover:
You are welcome in our Church family
- old and young
- married and single
- gay and straight
- black or white
- abled and differently abled
Sunday Worship….is for ALL the family…. and for ALL families Some of our families have just one person in them others have more.
Our ages range from very young to….well we have yet to have our first centenarian!
We are a multicultural church community with people from many different countries.
Our Sunday Worship is a vibrant celebration of our Faith. Sometimes it is
- thoughtful and thought provoking
- mind and faith stretching
- a springboard to social justice
Most of our worship is traditional with regular innovations like drama, participatory involvement, audio- visual etc. We generally sing from Together in Song (the Australian hymnbook) and enjoy a cross section of traditional hymns as well as a wide range of contemporary Christian music.
Usually we have a sermon and this is when the children are invited to take part in special children’s activities.
People who have expressed a wish to lead parts of our worship, read the Bible, lead the “childen’s segment”, offer a prayer etc. are encouraged to do so.
We like to include a wide range of worship experiences:
Once a month, worship is prepared and led by one of our very talented and committed lay worship teams.
We have a dedicated team of Lay preachers who also lead worship.
We celebrate Holy Communion at least once a month.
